Shoichiro Toyoda

Shoichiro Toyoda AC, KBE (Japanese豊 田 章 一 郞, Shoichiro Toyoda, born February 17, 1925 in Aichi Prefecture ) is a Japanese manager who from 1992 to 1999 as chairman ( Daihyō - torishimariyaku - KAICHÔ ) by Toyota from 1994 has acted as Chairman of Nippon Keidanren business federation until 1998. He is a son of the company founder Kiichiro Toyoda.

In October 2000, he was appointed to the Board of KDDI, Toyota Industries holds 11.7 % stake in KDDI (as of 2007).

He graduated from Nagoya University. He holds a Doctorate of Engineering, 1952, he received his doctorate in the subject of fuel injection. The current CEO of Toyota, Akio Toyoda is his eldest son.

From 1976 to 1979 he was Chairman of the JIDOSHA - gijutsu -kai (自动 车 技术 会, " Council for Automotive Technology "; engl Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan. ).
