Shokat Ali

Shokat Ali ( born March 4, 1970 in Accrington, Lancashire ) is a former professional snooker player.

Career

Ali was born in England, but resigned in tournaments for Pakistan, the homeland of his ancestors, to.

In 1991 he turned professional and worked slowly in Snooker world rankings before. His most best individual result was the rise in the second round of the Grand Prix in 1998, where he defeated, among others, Jimmy White. There was also a gold medal at the Asian Games 1998. For the snooker season 1998/99 was conducted at No. 49 in the world rankings, before falling back somewhat in the next two years.
