Shōmei Yokouchi

Shomei Yokouchi (Japanese横 内 正 明, Shomei Yokouchi; born March 2, 1942 in Nirasaki, Yamanashi Prefecture) is a Japanese politician and since 2007 the Governor of Yamanashi.

Yokouchi, graduate of the Law Faculty of the University of Tokyo, after graduating in 1964 was an official in the Ministry of Construction. He was from 1984 Head of Department ( Kacho ) in the street department, from 1995 in the city department.
