Shonen Knife
Shonen Knife (少年 ナイフjap, Shōnen Naifu ) is a Japanese pop-punk group that was founded in December 1981 in Osaka. Her style is based on garage, alternative rock and punk, they see themselves influenced by girl groups of the 1960s and the Ramones. Shonen Knife are mainly known in the U.S. and successful, their lyrics are mostly English. In 1993 they were the opening act for Nirvana in six concerts.
The drummer Mana Nishiura died on 4 November 2005 in a car accident.
