Short (crater)

Short is an impact crater in the extreme south of the lunar front side, south of the crater Moretus and northeast of Newton. The rim is eroded, the interior largely flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the British mathematician, optician and telescope builder James Short.
