Shosholoza Meyl

Under the name of Shosholoza Meyl operates the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa long-distance trains in South Africa. By 2009 Shosholoza Meyl was one of Spoornet. The trains run on Cape gauge. As a motive power come on electrified lines the SAR Class 6E1 and 7E1 are used. The word Shosholoza means go forward where much as brave and is the title of a South African folk song. Meyl is the long-distance train itself.
