Shota Rustaveli - The State University (Georgian შოთა რუსთაველის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი ) is a university in the south-western Georgian city of Batumi. The university existed in its present form since 1990, and emerged from the former Batumi Pedagogical Institute, which was founded in 1945. It now has five faculties where approximately 5,000 students study.

The university is named after the medieval Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli.
