Shrapnel Records is an American metal and rock label, which was founded in 1980 in Novato, California.

History

The label was founded in 1980 by 22 -year-old Mike Varney. The label was dedicated to the release of metal and rock albums, with artists and bands such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Marty Friedman, Jason Becker, Paul Gilbert, Racer X, Tony MacAlpine, Vinnie Moore, Greg Howe and Richie Kotzen their first recordings published.
