Shubra al -Khaimah (Arabic شبرا الخيمة, DMG Subra l - Haima, English transcription: Shubra El Kheima - ) is the fourth- largest city in Egypt after Cairo, Alexandria and Giza. It lies north of Cairo in the Nile Delta in the southern province al - Qalyubiyya and is part of the agglomeration of Cairo. The population was 2008 1.045.370 (calculation ), 2006 1016722 ( census).
