Shubunkin

The Shubunkin (Japanese朱 文 金" scarlet eyed goldfish ", also朱 文锦" scarlet patterned brocade " is written ) is an ornamental pond fish from Japan. The fish has two colors (typically red and bluish mother of pearl ) pied, and this basic color black polka dots are irregularly distributed. Its imposing tail can account for up to half of the total length, but unlike the veil tail it is not doubled. There are several breed standards in different colors: London, Bristol, Japanese and American Shubunkin.
