Owner of the routes is, however, at the same time decorated with the privatization in 2005 national Nihon kōsokudōro Hoyu, Saimu hensai Kiko (日本 高速 道路 保有·债务 返 済 机构, "Organization for ownership and debt repayment of the highways of Japan ", engl. Japan Expressway Holding and Debt Repayment Agency short JEHDRA ), a self -regulatory body of the Ministry. This also handles the case of newly built trails ownership rights and liabilities.

Route network

The main routes of the city highway Tokyo are connected to the inner ring of C1, which passes through the districts of Chūō, Chiyoda and Minato. Six From there go clockwise from numbered routes, the routes with the higher numbers 7, 9, 10 and 11 fit only partially into this scheme. Since 1982, the middle ring ( Chūō - KANJO - sen) C2 is built, leading from the Tokyo Bay through the outer wards of Tokyo, and except for a section in the southwest ( planned completion 2013) together with the line B ( Wangan -sen, B as in engl. Bayshore Route ) forms a closed ring. Other trails lead into the prefectures of Kanagawa (K1 to K6) and Saitama (S2, S5) and bind the megacities Kawasaki, Yokohama and Saitama to the mains. Chiba in the east by stretching the East Japan motorway operator Higashi Nihon - Kōsokudōro ( NEXCO Higashi Nihon - ) connected, which connect to the lines 7 and B. The NEXCO Higashi- Nihon also operates the Gaikan jidōshadō ( " Outer Ring Road ", engl. Gaikan Expressway ) to form a third ring, but so far only leads the Tokyo Nerima district through the south of Saitama prefecture.

In Japanese, there are the track names from a location or route designation and partly the route number, eg ichi - gō Haneda -sen (1号 羽 田 线), or " No 1 Haneda Line " Wangan -sen (湾 岸线), " Bay Coast Line ", or toshin - KANJO -sen (都 心 环状 线), " city circle line ". On road signs are all shown together with the Latin letters and / or the associated numbers.
