The Shymkent International Airport ( Kazakh: Халықаралық Шымкент Әуежайы, Russian: Международный Аэропорт Шымкент ) ( IATA: CIT, ICAO: UAII ) is an international airport serving the area lying in the South Kazakhstan Kazakh city of Shymkent.

The current airport was built in 1963 on a scale in 1932, mainly agricultural airfield. He took a year out to the operation.

The airport fly five airlines in scheduled service, including Air Astana, Transaero and Turkish Airlines. The only international of the eight goals are Moscow and Sharjah. Otherwise national targets like the capital Astana or Almaty are served exclusively.
