Si Banphot District

Si Banphot ( Thai: ศรี บรรพต ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Phatthalung. The Phatthalung Province is located in southern Thailand, about 840 km south of Bangkok on the Malay Peninsula.

Geography

Neighboring districts and areas (from north clockwise): Amphoe Pa the Phayom, Khuan Khanun and Srinagarindra in Phatthalung Province and Amphoe Na Yong, Mueang Trang and Huai Yot in the province of Trang.

The National Park Khao Pu - Khao Ya ( Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ เขา ปู่ - เขา ย่า ) is located in the county. It is used by the locals Pha Porommachan ( Thai: ป่า พรหมจรรย์ - about: virgin forest ), because he is a grown jungle without human intervention.

History

Si Banphot was established on 1 December 1977 by three tambon were separated from Amphoe Khuan Khanun. On November 4, 1993 Si Banphot was then promoted to a Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Srinagarindra is divided into three subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 30 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
