Si Samrong District

Amphoe Si Samrong ( Thai: อำเภอ ศรีสำโรง ) is a district ( Amphoe ) in the province ( Changwat ) Sukhothai in Northern Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from the south clockwise): Amphoe Mueang Sukhothai which, Ban Dan Lan Hoi, Thung Saliam and Sawankhalok Province Sukhothai Province and Amphoe Phrom Phiram the province of Phitsanulok.

The most important water resource is the Maenam Yom ( Yom River ).

Management

Si Samrong is ( tambon) divided into 13 municipalities, which are further subdivided into 137 villages ( Muban ).

Si Samrong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศรีสำโรง ) itself has a small-town status ( thesaban tambon) and covers parts of tambon Khlong Tan and Sam Ruean.

There are also 12 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
