Si That District

Amphoe Si That ( Thai: อำเภอ ศรีธาตุ, even Sri That) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the southeastern province of Udon Thani. The Udon Thani Province is located in the northwestern part of Northeast Thailand, Isaan so-called.

Geography

Neighbouring districts (from west clockwise): Amphoe the Kumphawapi, Ku Kaeo, Chai Wan and Wang Sam Mo in the province of Udon Thani Province, as well as Amphoe Tha Khantho the province of Kalasin.

History

Si That was on March 1, 1968 initially as a small district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the five Tambon Champi, Na Yung, Nong Ya Sai, Ban Nong Prong and Kung Thap Ma were removed from the Amphoe Kumphawapi. The promotion to full Amphoe place on 28 June 1973.

Management

Amphoe Si That is in 7 communes ( tambon) organized, in turn into 86 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are four small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Si That ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ศรีธาตุ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Si deed.
  • Champi ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล จำปี ), consisting of the whole tambon Champi,
  • Hua Na Kham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หัว นา คำ ), consisting of the whole tambon Hua Na Kham
  • Ban Prong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน โปร่ง ), consisting of the whole tambon Ban Prong.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
