Siamotyrannus is an extinct genus of Carnosauria from the group of theropods. Fossils were found in the Sao Khua lineup in Thailand and have been dated to the middle Valanginian ( Lower Cretaceous ). Siamotyrannus was described in 1996 by Buffetaut, Suteethorn & Tong first scientifically. The only way is Siamotyrannus isanensis. The first fund consists of a pool, the sacrum, 13 caudal vertebrae, 5 vertebrae and some Hämalfortsätzen.

The bones found Estimate Siamotyrannus to a length of about 6.5 meters. It features have been found, can describe the Siamotyrannus as a primitive Tyrannosauroidea, such as an extension of the ilium, so that with the sacrum contact receives ( Buffetaut et al., 1996a). This theory was supported by Holtz ( 2001b ), but it has been rejected. However Siamotyrannus also has characteristics which militate against the assignment to the Tyrannosauroidea, such as the spinous processes, which occur at Carnosauriern. Rauhut (2003) thus arranged Siamotyrannus as a basal Carnosaurier. According to Thomas R. Holtz Jr. et al. (2004) is the closest relative Fukuiraptor, both of which form a clade together. Below is a cladogram by Thomas R. Holtz Jr. et al. (2004):
