The Samtgemeinde Sibbesse belongs to the district of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony.

To Samtgemeinde include the five municipalities Adenstedt ( with Sellenstedt and Grafelde ) Almstedt ( with Segeste ) Eberholzen, Sibbesse ( with Hönze, Möllensen and Bruins ) and West field ( with Wrisbergholzen ).
History
The Samtgemeinde Sibbesse created on 1 April 1974 as part of local government reform.

Blazon: " In red with a silver, used with a Black Wolf Angel oblique beams, accompanied by seven top right, bottom left of 6 silver roses with golden leaves and golden chalice slugs. "
The 13 roses in the arms of the Samtgemeinde Sibbesse symbolize the twelve members of the Samtgemeinde places and Nienstedt ( today part of Despetal ) because it belonged until 1974 to Samtgemeinde Sibbesse. The Wolf Angel, an old boundary marks, points out that Sibbesse was a border town between the competence of authorities Gronau and Winzenburg since early times.
