Sibylle Brauner

Sibylle Brown ( born March 16, 1975 in Raubling ) is a former German ski racer. She specializes in the disciplines of downhill and Super -G.

Biography

Brauner's first international success was winning the bronze medal in the combined at the Junior World Championships in 1994. Her debut in the World Cup they had on February 2, 1994 at downhill in the Sierra Nevada. The first World Cup points they won on 18 December 1994, rank 27 in the slalom in Sestriere. Although they initially scored in the slalom the better performances, but she specialized in the speed disciplines. The first top- 10 ranking she succeeded on 2 February 1997 with the fourth place in the combination of Laax. This was tantamount to her best World Cup result ever.

Both in the winter 1998/99 and winter 1999/2000 Brown drove four times in the top ten. Subsequently, however, they gradually lost the connection to the top. After four World Cup participations and a part in the Olympics she explained her resignation in October 2003 because, in the previous summer due to a back injury had hardly able to train. Brown was trained as a physical therapist since 2009, she has worked among others for the German Ski Association and oversees the women's national team.
