Sid Ahmed Ghozali

Sid Ahmed Ghozali (Arabic سيد أحمد غزالي, DMG Saiyid Aḥḥmad Ghazali ); ( Born March 31, 1937 in Marnia, Algeria ) is a former Algerian politician.

Ghozali belonged to the Unity Party of National Liberation Front ( FLN) and was a close confidant of former President Chadli Bendjedid. In 1988 he took over the office of the Finance Minister, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1989 and 1991 he was appointed as Prime Minister of Algeria Bendjedid.

Even after the cancellation Benjedids in January 1992 and the seizure of power by the military Ghozali initially remained in office, but resigned in July of the same year, shortly after the assassination of President Mohammed Boudiaf.
