Siddharthanagar

Siddharthanagar (formerly Bhairahawa ) is a town in the Terai, Nepal, on the border with India, about 256 kilometers west of Kathmandu. The city is the administrative center for the Rupandehi district. The term " Bhairahawa " is still in use.

The city has an airport, about 3 km west of the center with regular connections to Kathmandu. In addition Siddhartanagar is an important border crossing point and end point of Siddhartha Rajmarg ( national road ) from Pokhara.

The climate in Bhairahawa is a tropical monsoon climate, the hottest month is June.
