Siderno

Siderno is an Italian town in the province of Reggio Calabria in Calabria with 16,965 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012).

Location and data

Siderno is located 107 km northeast of Reggio Calabria on the northeast slope of the Aspromonte on the coast of the Ionian Sea. The neighboring municipalities are Agnana Calabra, Gerace, Grotteria, Locri and Mammola. The place consists of the districts Donisi, Vennerello, Mirto, Campo, Ferraro, Zammariti, Oliveto, Pellegrina, Grappidaro, Gonia, Flavia, Salvi, Lamia, San Policarpo and Fossicalì.

The city is the agricultural and industrial center for the environment. Due to its location by the sea, tourism has a specific meaning.
