Sidnei (footballer born 1989)

Sidnei Rechel da Silva Junior ( born August 23, 1989 in Alegrete, Brazil ), also called Sidnei, is a Brazilian footballer. He is currently under contract at Benfica and usually plays on the position of central defender.

In his youth Sidnei played for the Brazilian club SC Internacional. At the beginning of his professional career, he left the club not, but played until 2008 with Brazilians. On 24 July 2008, he signed a five - year contract with the Portuguese giants Benfica. In June 2011 it was announced that Sidnei is awarded in the 2011/12 season to Besiktas Istanbul.

National

Sidnei was called to the U-17 World Cup in Peru in 2005 and played until the semi-finals every game with. Also in the final, which was lost to Mexico 0-3.
