Siege of Groenlo (1595)

The Siege of Groenlo by Dutch troops under the command of Maurice of Orange was held from 14 to July 24, 1595 during the Eighty Years War and ended with the arrival of a Spanish relief army under Cristóbal de Mondragón and the withdrawal of Moritz. Two years later, Moritz returned and was finally able Groenlo after a siege of 17 days taking.
