Siegfried Reich

Siegfried " Siggi " Reich ( born September 29, 1959 in Faller life, now Wolfsburg ) is a former German football player.

Life

The center forward Siegfried Reich received his first professional contract in 1981 with Borussia Mönchengladbach. There, however, he never was able to show off and was mostly a substitute. In 1983 he went to Borussia Dortmund, where he also could not establish himself and changed in the 1984/85 season to Arminia Bielefeld. Here he won the first time a regular place, but could his 18 goals this season - until today league record of Arminia - the relegation of his club not prevent it.

Although he remained in the Bundesliga, rose with his new club Hannover 96 at the end of the 1985/86 season, however, also decreases. Reich then went for the first time with the Hanoverians in the second league. With 26 goals he was instrumental in the following season share of the direct re-emergence of the association. In the season 1987/88 he met 17 times for Hannover 96 and culminated with the team ranked 10th in the table.

On 22 March 1988 Siegfried Reich scored a memorable goal in the match against VfB Stuttgart. In the 76th minute of the game, he overcame the impulse circuit from the posted too far in front of his goal VfB keeper Eike Immel 2-1. This hit was chosen by the spectators of sports show on the goal of the month March 1988.

In 1989, Reich again with Hannover 96, went first with Hannover in the 2nd league and changed the course of the season at Bayer 05 Uerdingen. After he barely came into use in Uerdingen, he broke the contract with the Krefeldern in 1991 and tried at VfL Wolfsburg a fresh start in the Oberliga Nord. The climb to the 2nd Bundesliga succeeded thanks to its accuracy. In the second league Siggi kingdom belonged until his retirement in late 1996 at the Wolfsburg to the most prolific strikers in the league. So he was in the 1992/93 season with 27 goals scorer again. With Wolfsburg he also reached his greatest success. In 1995 he reached the final of the DFB - Pokal in 1995, but lost the game against his former club Borussia Mönchengladbach 0-3.

Today kingdom operates in Wolfsburg - Fallersleben a sports shop and plays in the old men's county league Wolfsburg for the TSG Mörse.
