Siegfried Schneider (politician)

Siegfried Schneider ( born April 7, 1956 in upper cell ) is a German politician ( CSU). He served as Minister of State Head of the Bavarian State Chancellery. He was from 2007 to 2011 District Chairman of the CSU Upper Bavaria. As the responsible minister for media Schneider was also chairman of the Media Campus Bavaria in November 2011, he is Deputy Chairman. Since October 1, 2011 Schneider is president of the Bavarian Regulatory Authority for Commercial Broadcasting.

Education and work

After graduation in 1975 at the Reuchlin -Gymnasium Ingolstadt Schneider did his military service with the Pioneers in Ingolstadt, then he took at the Catholic University of Eichstätt studying to become teachers at elementary schools on ( 1977-1980 ). Between 1980 and 1994 he worked as a teacher at various primary, secondary and special schools. During his studies, Schneider became a member of the Catholic Student Association KDSt.V. Policy

His political career began in 1977 with the entry into the CSU. 1985 Schneider was elected to the county board of the CSU in the district of Eichstätt, 1987 CSU local chairman and in 1990 the municipal council of his residence Wettstetten. On September 25, 1994 Schneider was elected on the list of CSU Upper Bavaria in the Bavarian Landtag. 1998 Schneider joined then as a direct candidate for the Bavarian state parliament in the voting district of Eichstätt and received 56.6 percent of the votes first votes. 1996 also he was elected to the county council of the district of Eichstätt. Family

Siegfried Schneider is married to Elisabeth Schneider and has three children. His son Wolfgang was a candidate in the municipal elections of 2008 to the CSU list for the council Wettstetten; he failed to reach scarce.
