Siegfried Schoenbohm

Schoenbohm was assistant to Walter Felsenstein and in 1966 director of the Komische Oper Berlin. From 1973 to 1978 he was senior director of the Municipal Theater Heidelberg, between 1981 and 1983 at the Stadttheater Freiburg, thereafter until 1991 at the Opera House of the State Theater of Kassel.

As a guest director, he worked among others at the Hamburg State Opera, at the Grillo -Theater in Essen, Dortmund, Hanover, Frankfurt, Athens and the Bonn Opera, where he conducted Wagner's Ring of the Nibelung. As a librettist, he was at the opera with the double bass and The Bacchae by Argyris Kounadis.
