Siek

Siek is a municipality in the district of Stormarn in Schleswig-Holstein. The municipality consists of the villages of meat gaff, Sieker field and Meilsdorf. Siek is the administrative seat of the Office of the same name.

Geography and transport

Siek is located northeast of Hamburg. The Federal Highway 1 runs through the community. The Wandse flows through the community.

In Siek there was a stop on the Südstormarnschen circular path.

History

The oldest building in Siek is the peace church, which was probably first built in the 13th century. Your altar is from the 17th century. After the church was burnt down after a lightning strike, it was re-consecrated in 1883.

Incorporations

On 1 February 1974, the municipality Meilsdorf was incorporated.

Spin-offs

On January 1, parts of the territory were ceded by then about 50 inhabitants to the neighboring community Großhansdorf.

Policy

Of the 13 seats in the municipal council have the CDU and the SPD since the local elections in 2013, six seats. The FDP has a seat and therefore not group status. In the election period from 2008 to 2013, the CDU had five seats, the SPD and the FDP had four seats.
