Sierra Leone Football Association

The Sierra Leone Football Association ( SLFA ) is the highest organ of football in Sierra Leone. The association was founded in 1967 and joined in the same year as a member of FIFA and the African Football Association. The SLFA organized the National Premier League, the 2nd Division, the FA Cup and the national team.

On 21 November 2007, the SLFA admitted organizational and financial difficulties and said, among other things, the orientation of the FA Cup from 2008.

The SLFA maintains with the Football Academy of Sierra Leone own football academy for the purpose of promoting young talent. For the beginning of 2009 is the opening of a privately funded football academy, Craig Bellamy Tombo Football Academy is provided. This is recognized by the SLFA.
