Sierra Madre Oriental

The Sierra Madre Oriental is a mountain range in northeastern Mexico, over 1000 km from Coahuila on Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Hidalgo to the north of the states of Puebla and Querétaro extends and there with the Sierra Madre Occidental and the Sierra Volcánica transversal of central Mexico combined.

Geology

Flora and Fauna

The mountain range is largely passed with ( Madrean pine - oak forests) and known for its rich biodiversity and the large number of endemic species.

Although separated from the main part of the Sierra Madre Oriental by the Rio Grande, including the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park in southwest Texas by vegetation forth to the Sierra Madre Oriental.
