Sigma SD14

The Sigma SD14 is the third digital SLR Sigma SD9 and SD10 after.

Like all digital SLR cameras Sigma SD14 uses a Foveon X3 direct image sensor. The camera has a Sigma Lens port. As a perfectly sensible hybrid arrangement of these corresponds to the Pentax K bayonet with the smaller 1.5 mm Canon EOS flange (44 mm) and the related, but non-opaque contacts. The use of M42 lenses is possible using the adapter, which are then turned through 90 °. Unlike their predecessors, the SD14 features a built -in flash, can store pictures in JPEG mode and no longer has the sigma outer bayonet (for the lenses but also never been offered ). The sigma- inner bayonet remained compatible. The number of pixels of the CMOS image sensor is specific for each of the colors red, green and blue, about 4.7 million, so that for each shot about 14 million measurement values , corresponding to about 9 megapixels of a conventional sensor are available.
