Sikatuna, Bohol
Sikatuna is a Philippine municipality in the province of Bohol on the homonymous island. It has 6380 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ).

History
Sikatuna is a relatively young community, which was founded just after the end of the Spanish colonial period on December 5, 1917. Previously, the center was Sikatunas ( Poblacion 1 and Poblacion 2) as Barangay Comago to the neighboring municipality of Alburquerque. By appointment Comagos an independent municipality you were four other barangays from Alburquerque assigned ( Libjo, Abucay Sur, Abucay Norte, and Can- Agong ), as well as two previously to the communities Loboc ( Cambuac Sur and Norte Cambuac ) and Balilihan ( Badiang and Bahaybahay ) belonging Barangays
It was named after Datu Sikatuna community, a major in the history of Bohol chieftain of the 16th century, which in 1565 joined blood brotherhood with the Spanish conquistador Miguel López de Legazpi.
