Sikole

Sikole (Cyrillic Сиколе ) is a village in the Opština Negotin, in the district of Bor in eastern Serbia.

Geographical location

Sikole is the Opština Negotin, one of the easternmost towns of Serbia, in the Okrug boron in central Serbia. The village is 360 meters above the Adriatic.

Climate

In Sikole has a temperate continental climate with the usual for Europe four seasons.

Negotin is located about 20 km from Sikole. Bor is located about 17 km from Sikole.

Nature and Water

By Sikole flows a river called Reka Sikolska. The river rises at Mount Deli Jovan and empties into the Timok

Population

The 2002 census (self- nomination) showed that 838 people live in the village.

Education

Sikole has a school in the village center ( 1st to 4th class). 2006/2007 were taught about 24 students. The school was opened in 1892.
