The Sikorsky S -434 is a light single-engine helicopter of the U.S. company Sikorsky turbine powered.

History

The Sikorsky S -434 is a further development of the Swiss S -333 under the name Sikorsky, the brought the company after its acquisition of Swiss in 2004 on the market. Compared with the S -333, the drive and the rotor have been changed, now having a Rolls- Royce 250 - C20W is used. Along with the new quieter four-bladed rotor increases the payload of the helicopter to 840 kg. The first flight of the helicopter took place in Horseheads in the U.S. state of New York on 18 December 2008. The FAA approval should be obtained initially in 2010, before the date was postponed until to December 2011, and later on in early 2012. [ Deprecated]

Launch customer of two pieces in 2009, the Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia. Swiss cites the price for the S -434 933,000 U.S. dollars and puts the cost per flight hour with 240 U.S. dollars.
