Sikuli

Sikuli Script is a scripting language and an eponymous tool to perform automated software testing of graphical user interfaces ( GUIs) based on screenshots ( screenshots ) of the software under test. Sikuli is compared with Selenium or AutoHotkey and can be like this used to remotely control Web sites or application software on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. On the detour via a simulator or Virtual Network Computing (VNC ) is also possible the test and the remote control of iOS and Android application.

Sikuli Script is a Jython - based visual scripting API for creating automation scripts. Sikuli contains an integrated development environment (IDE ) for the visually supported writing the building on screenshots scripts.

Development

The development of the open source project began in 2009 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is continued since the end of 2012 established for this purpose Sikuli Lab at the University of Colorado Boulder. The project is supported by the U.S. government organization National Science Foundation and the Taiwanese private company Quanta Computer.
