Silesian Mountain Railway

The Silesian mountain railway is a railway line in today's Poland, which was originally built and operated by the Prussian state railways. The original project called for a rail link from Görlitz and Kohlfurt to Glatz, which was designed as a segment of a new continuous rail link between Berlin and Vienna. Due to the political conflict of interest between Prussia and Austria, which culminated in 1866 in the German war, this project was implemented only partially.

As part of the Silesian mountain railway following railroad lines shall apply:

  • Railway Zgorzelec - Wałbrzych (Görlitz - Waldenburg -Dittersbach )
  • Railway Węgliniec - Luban ( Kohlfurt - Lauban )
  • Railway Wałbrzych - Kłodzko ( Waldburg- Dittersbach Glatz )
  • Railroad track in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship
