Silesian Walls

Three trenches, Polish Wały Śląskie, ie the system of three ( two and one ) parallel earthen walls and ditches from the Middle Ages in Lower Silesia, Poland. The length of the well-preserved features a whole is about 30 km, the height of about 2.5 m, width 18 to 47 m (at the dreiwälligen form).

This militia was described as early as 1902.

The report from the research that has been carried out by the Muzeum Ziemi Szprotawskiej headed by Maciej Boryna in the years 2000 to 2006 has, are particularly prevalent on the border, transport and customs role of the three trenches. The construction of this system falls into the 15th century, but certain features could have been built earlier and later. The three trenches line was the southwestern border of the Duchy of Glogau.
