Palm Beach - Duo was an American television series that was produced by Stephen J. Cannell for CBS. Between 1991 and 1999 eight seasons came with a total of 176 episodes. By 1995, Rob Estes and Mitzi Kapture were the main characters, these were replaced by Chris Potter and Janet Gunn. Among the guest stars in the series included, among other things, Audrey Landers, Robert Forster, Casper Van Dien and Roddy Piper. Composer Mike Post was nominated for the title theme for an Emmy Award.

Action

1991-1995

From 1991 to 1995, the series revolved around the adventures of police officer Christopher Lorenzo and Rita Lee Lance in Palm Beach. In addition to changing criminal cases in the milieu of high society a romantic relationship has been established to keep an overarching tension between the two. When Mitzi Kapture because of her pregnancy decided to take a longer break from filming and Estes moved to Melrose Place, the producers decided for a replacement of the lead roles.

1996-1999

The next season began with new cast members Nick Kokotakis and Tyler Layton, but this had a negative impact on the ratings. Without further explanation in the plot both were quickly replaced by Chris Potter and Janet Gunn.
