Silberperrhenat is a chemical compound selected from the group of the perrhenates.
Production and representation
Silberperrhenat can be obtained by the reaction of sodium perrhenate with silver nitrate. The use of potassium perrhenate instead of sodium perrhenate gives an impure product.
Properties
Silberperrhenat is a white solid that is poorly soluble in water. As a pure substance, the connection is stable, contaminated products are dark to light. It has a tetragonal crystal structure of scheelite - type with space group I41 / a (a = 534.9 pm, c = 1266.8 pm ).
