Silver Side Up is the third studio album by the Canadian rock band Nickelback. It was released on 11 September 2001 and was the breakthrough for the then little-known musicians. The song " How You Remind Me," with which the jump was achieved in the top 10 in the world, had this great share. Silver Side Up landed including Canada, Austria, Ireland, New Zealand and the UK at # 1 on the charts.

International breakthrough
After the hoped-for breakthrough with The State had failed to moved to Roadrunner Records. That was very unusual because the label was known more for metal bands. In an interview, Ryan Peake said she had signed there because there " people with passion at work " and it is " made to the product" not there immediately. Now they had a lot of time for a new album, because according to Peake to the four band members have been with the predecessor album under time pressure. This time was worth it: The " How You Remind Me" succeeded the International breakthrough. This song succeeded in many countries of the jump in the charts and in the top ten. The second single " Too Bad " could build on these successes. Since the level of awareness increased tremendously, the band had to postpone the planned European tour in bigger venues. Due to the great success of her debut album Curb was republished.
