Silvio Meißner

Silvio Meißner ( born January 19, 1973 in Halle) is a former football player. He played on the position of a defensive midfielder. His last stop was the Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart. He is married, has two children and lives in basket. Currently, he works as a player consultant.

Career

In his youth Meissner played from 1978 to 1993 for the clubs Posthalle, SV Merseburg 99, Hall shear FC. 1993 started his professional career at FC Chemnitz, where he remained until 1996, then to switch to Arminia Bielefeld. Then in 2000 he moved to VfB Stuttgart, with the Meissner in 2003 was runner-up.

On 17 April 2006, he extended his contract at VfB Stuttgart for two years until the end of season 2007/08. In the second half of the 2006/07 season he played for half a year for the 1st FC Kaiserslautern. At the end of the season he returned as provided in the loan agreement, to VfB back. With the expiry of the contract in the summer of 2008, Meissner ended his active career. However, he denies even games for the VfB team tradition. After his reacquisition of amateur status Meissner was hired for the 2009/10 season of the SpVgg Rommelshausen. He denied not a single competitive match.
