Silvio Smalun
Silvio Smalun ( born November 2, 1979 in Erfurt ) is a former German figure skater and two-time German champion.
Biography
Silvio Smalun began figure skating at the age of 5 years in Erfurt and trained initially at Ilona Schindler together with Stefan Lindemann. In 1995 he went to Oberstdorf and trained with Michael Huth. Besides his studies, he trained partly in Ulm.
2006 fulfilled Smalun the Olympic standard with 8th place at the European Championships. However, he was not nominated because Germany had only a starting place in the men's and this was awarded to Stefan Lindemann.
In autumn 2006 Smalun participated in the ProSieben show stars in part on ice. There he was the dance partner of singer Lucy Diakovska. Although he was always a loner, he convinced there as a pair skater and won 3rd place with his partner.
Silvio Smalun currently studying at the University of Ulm computer science. He finished his amateur career in September 2006.
