Silviu Ilie

Silviu Ilie (* June 27, 1988 in Galaţi ) is a Romanian football player. The midfielder has since the summer of 2007 at Oţelul Galaţi in Romanian League 1 under contract.

Career

The career of Ilie began when he was inducted in 2005 into the squad for the first team of Otelul Galati, which in Divizia A (now League 1), the highest Romanian football league played. In November 2005, he came in the league game against Politehnica AEK Timisoara to its first use. In order to gain match practice, he moved to the winter break to local rivals Dunărea Galaţi in the Divizia B. There he developed into a regular player and could be placed with his club twice in the middle of the league.

In summer 2007, Ilie returned to Oţelul and was coached by Petre Grigoraş and from summer 2009 under Dorinel Munteanu also for stem force. After three years in the middle of the league one he won with his team in the season 2010/ 11 against the financially strong competition, the Romanian Cup and the beginning of the season 2011/12 the Romanian Supercup.

National

In November 2010, Ilie was appointed national coach Razvan Lucescu first time in the squad of the Romanian national team. On 17 November 2010 he made his debut in a friendly against Italy when he came on in the 90th minute for Bogdan Stancu. During a tournament in Cyprus in February 2011, he came on as a substitute twice for the course. For the subsequent qualifiers for the European Championship 2012, he was no longer considered by Lucescu.
