Sima Ćirković

Sima Ćirković ( born January 29, 1929 in Osijek, Yugoslavia, † November 14, 2009 in Belgrade, Serbia) was a Yugoslav and Serbian historians.

He received his doctorate in 1957 at the University of Belgrade, where he was a full professor in 1968. His field was the Medieval history of the Yugoslav peoples. Since 1972 he was a corresponding member, since 1981 a full member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

He has received numerous awards, including his Konstantin Jirecek Medal of the German Southeast Europe Association was awarded in 2007.
