Simca Aronde (1961 )

The Simca Aronde, initially designated as Simca 9 Aronde, was a middle-class vehicle, which was produced by the French automaker Simca from 1951 to 1964. The car represented the first independent model because the smaller models were before ( Simca 5/6 or Simca 8) pure licensed production of Fiat.

" Aronde " is an old French term for "Swallow ". This expression was used as the swallow has also graced the Simca logo this time.

Models

9 Aronde

The model Simca 9 Aronde was produced from 1951 to 1955. The Aronde was a modern vehicle with a unibody construction. As the engine 1221 cc engine was used from the Simca 8. Aronde (90A )

The second generation, the model Simca Aronde (type 90A ), came in October 1955 on the market. It was a facelift with revised front and rear view, which, however, was a completely new engine: 1290 cc Flash.

There were the trim levels Elysée and Montlhery (after the race track in Montlhery named). In October 1957 there were two more variants - the Océane, a two-door convertible, and the Plein Ciel, a hardtop coupe; both restored at Facel.

In January 1957, the 500,000 th Aronde was made and now also exported to the United States.

Aronde ( P60 )

In September 1958, a redesigned sedan model Simca Aronde (type P60 ) presented. The station wagon was just a new front, but was still the previous model. A new Coupé Monaco was presented, as well as a cheaper entry-level model Etoile, which replaced the variant Elysée and only had a 1090 cc engine.

As of October 1960, a new engine came ( called Rush ) with 1.3 liters and five - bearing crankshaft used. A 70 - hp version ( Rush - Super) there was in September 1961 in the sedan and coupe Montlhery Speciale Monaco Spéciale.
