Simferopol Raion
The Raion Simferopol (Ukrainian Сімферопольський район / Simferopolskyj rayon; Russian Симферопольский район / Simferopolski raion, Crimean Tatar rayonı Aqmescit ) is a Ukrainian raion in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. He has an overall population of about 150,000 inhabitants and has an area of 1753 km ². It includes three urban-type settlements, 103 villages and three settlements, which are organized into 18 district municipalities.
Geography
The Rajon located in the Midwest of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, it is bordered on the northwest by the Rajon Saky, to the north by Rajon Krasnohwardijske, to the east by Rajon Bilohirsk, on the southeast by the city of Alushta, in the south and southwest by the Raion Bakhchisaray and in the west for a short distance to the Black Sea.
