Simmone Jade Mackinnon

Simmone Jade Mackinnon ( born March 19, 1973 in Mount Isa, Queensland ) is an Australian actress.

Life and career

Mackinnon previously worked as a dancer and with the musical Cats in Australia and Asia on tour ( in the role of Cassandra ), but this occupation had after a knee injury to give up and was from 2003 to 2009 the main cast of the Australian hit series McLeod's Daughters. Since it is an excellent horsewoman, she proved to be ideal for the role of the rodeo rider Stevie Hall. Previously, she was one season (season 10) for the regular cast of the American series Baywatch and played in Deep Shock with Sean Whalen. Her debut as a film actress, she was in the film Attila in 2001 in a double role.

In 2004 she was nominated for a Logie Award for Best Newcomer and in 2007 for the Silver and Golden Award. In 2009 she was nominated again.

Mackinnon lived during the filming of McLeod's Daughters in Gawler (North of Adelaide ) in South Australia.

On 19 March 2010 Mackinnon brought a son into the world.
