Simo Halonen

Simo Halonen ( born March 21, 1947 in Taipalsaari ) is a former Finnish biathlete. Besides Heikki Juhani Suutarinen Ikola and he is the most successful Finnish biathlete in the 1970s.

Simo Halonen came only in the military for biathlon and began at the age of 25 years. He took 1974-1979 participated in all Biathlon World Championships, but missed the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1976 because of a leg injury.
