Simon Archer

Simon David Archer, MBE, (* June 27, 1973 in Leamington Spa, other sources indicate that in Worcester ) is a badminton player from Great Britain.

At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, he took along with Chris Hunt part in the doubles competition. He retired, however, as four years later at the Summer Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney, together with Nathan Robertson, in the quarterfinals of. But in Sydney, he also took part with Joanne Goode on Mixed Competition and won bronze. The two also won gold at the Commonwealth Games in 1998 and 2002. In August 2006, Archer retired from professional sports.
