Simon Colosimo

Simon Colosimo ( born January 8, 1979 in Melbourne) is an Australian football player who is active on the position of midfielder for Sydney FC in the Australian A- League.

Career

1997 graduated Colosimo the Australian Institute of Sport football program and signed a contract with Charlton SC. In 2000 he moved to South Melbourne FC. In 2001, he got a contract with Manchester City in the English Premier League, in the winter break of the season he moved to Belgium but to Royal Antwerp. In the summer of 2002 he returned to Australia and played for one year at Perth Glory, before he went to Parramatta Power 2003. 2004 Colosimo played in Malaysia in Pahang FA, 2005, he returned again for three years to Perth Glory. In 2007, he was loaned to Turkey to Sivasspor, since the summer of 2008 Colosimo plays for Sydney FC.

In 1998 he made his debut for the Australian national team, for whom he has recorded so far 24 games and scored three goals. 2000 and 2004 he won with Australia the OFC Nations Cup.
