Simon Kuipers

Simon Kuipers ( born August 9, 1982 in Haarlem, North Holland ) is a Dutch, specializing in short and medium distances former speed skater.

The current at this time for the Nova Zembla Ijsclub Spaarndam Simon Kuipers debuted in January 2004 at the World Cup in Collalbo. He quickly managed to good rankings in the top 15, including two victories in the B group of the World Cup. Until November 2006 Kuipers won a World Cup and came four times in the top three. In the overall World Cup over 1500 meters, he finished sixth in the 2006/07 season. At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, he missed the fourth place on the 1500 meters only just a medal. In 2009 he was third in the Sprint World Championships in Moscow. He lives in Spaarndam.

In March 2012, Kuipers ended his career. After a not successfully completing the season he lacked the motivation to keep going, he founded his crotch.
